    Purpose and Instructions for the ABAWD Resource List

    This list is here to help Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWDs) meet the SNAP work rules. The groups listed have agreed to be part of this list and want to help by offering chances to volunteer, do community service, or other work activities that count.

    How to Use This List

    If you need to meet your work requirement by volunteering or doing community service:

    1. Look through the list of community organizations.
    2. Contact the organizations to ask about volunteer or service opportunities.
    3. Keep proof of your participation, because you’ll need it for SNAP eligibility.

    This list is updated from time to time and shows organizations that are ready to help ABAWDs. Always check with the organization for the latest information about opportunities and what they require.
