Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative

General Information

The Recovery Friendly Workplace (RFW) Initiative is designed to help individuals with substance use disorder (SUD) achieve long-term success in the workplace by creating a balance between their work and recovery commitments.

The RFW unit works with city, state, and federal resources along with community-based organizations to identify recovery friendly employment opportunities, while providing one-on-one support to help individuals overcome barriers to employment. RFW provides training and education to increase job skills and employability, while assisting with transportation, health services, and confidential counseling.  This comprehensive support builds a strong foundation for recovery and a successful career path.

If you’d like to learn more about how the Recovery Friendly Workplace program can assist you, please contact us at RFW@dss.nv.gov.
